How We Work

We understand time is of the essence in getting your space up and running. Our goal is for the full design process to take between 4-6 weeks (Kick-off to Handover) and we follow the below process:

01. Discovery Call

We’ll get to know each other and determine if we’re a fit – this will include understanding your goals and us sharing what it’ll be like working with us

02. Kick-off

This will be a deep dive into your property, understanding your target client, establishing the scope of work, and finalizing timing of the project

03. Design Phase

Getting to the good stuff – turning your dreams into reality! Over a 3-4 week period we will conduct market research to determine your ideal design, develop inspiration boards to ensure we’re capturing the right look and feel for your space, create floorplans so you know where every item goes, and establish a shopping list for you

04. Handover

Once the design phase is complete, we’ll conduct a handover and go through each deliverable in detail

What You'll Get

Understand your target market / client

We’ll consider factors such as location, demographics, preferences of potential guests, required amenities, and target nightly rate. This will help guide our design decisions

Establish a scope of work

We will finalize which spaces will be included in the project and understand your budget, which will help us make decisions on what elements to prioritize and allocate funds accordingly

Develop inspiration boards

Based on our target market / client research we will look for design trends, browse through interior design magazines, visit other rentals or hotels for inspiration, and create an inspiration board to visualize your ideas.

What we’ll also consider in these boards are:

Furniture and décor

Select furniture, decor, and accessories that align with your target market and the desired aesthetic. Consider factors such as durability, functionality, and style. Choose pieces that are easy to clean and maintain.

Color Scheme and Lighting

Choose a color scheme that creates a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Consider the psychology of colors and how they can influence mood. Additionally, plan the lighting design to ensure proper illumination and create the desired ambiance.

Materials and Finishes

Select appropriate materials and finishes for flooring, walls, and other surfaces. Consider factors such as durability, ease of maintenance, and aesthetic appeal. Choose materials that are suitable for high traffic areas and can withstand wear and tear.

Conduct space planning

Evaluate the layout and functionality of the space. Consider the flow of the space, the number of rooms, and the specific needs of your target market. Determine how to optimize the space to accommodate guests comfortably.

Establish a shopping list

We will provide a list of all the items outlined in your final inspiration boards to turn your space’s dreams into reality. As part of the virtual design service, we WILL NOT be providing procurement and installation support.
